Here we go again!
It's a new season. I have a new house. New to me. And actually it's a rental. Yes I have my renter's insurance all paid up. Just trying to figure out if the plywood the landlord has for the windows will hold in a stong storm. I've been pricing aluminum panels. Tough decision-on a budget and for a rental, but my gut is telling me to get some. A new tip is to also get caulking. So that after you put up your wood or shutters, you can caulk the crap out of the edges. This way it will keep the water from pouring in the sides of your windows when they are hit with the wind and rain that creates what we call the "firehose aimed at the house" effect. Stay tuned for our family's famous hurricane chili recipe!
